Job Profile
We are seeking energetic and motivated people interested in joining
the explora team as a guide in either explora Atacama or Patagonia. We
seek those who are multi-talented, able to share their passion with
the outdoors (horse riding, biking and hiking) as well as the culture
of the area, while at the same time providing exceptional professional
service, able to work long hours while maintaining a high level of
energy, someone who takes the initiative to learn and share more and
finally committed to the explora team and concept.

Basic Purpose
To be trained into being a traveler’s companion, learning to create
interest in nature and culture of the place where he/she would work as
a guide, with the final purpose of helping to create a memorable life
experience for the travelers.

Skills
Technical or university studies required. We expect candidates to have
a full command of English and Spanish with preference for proficiency
in an additional language; German, French, Portuguese. We look for
strong leadership, teamwork capabilities, passion for outdoor life and
hosting skills as well as participation as a volunteer for social or
environmental programs.

Physically fit and able to carry a pack of up to 15 kilos (33 lbs) for
up to 24 km (15 mi) or able to be at altitudes of over 4000 m (13,000
ft) for several hours at a time. Recent experience (in the last 1-5
years) in backpacking, mountaineering, bike touring, horseback riding
or other sport as well as time spent living or traveling abroad are
ideal (but not mandatory.)

At least one year of professional work experience. Applicants should
have the availability to work at least two years in one of the
properties.
